At Nepal Mediciti Hospital, Ruju Khadka, the head of the department and a member of the country's first MSc class in clinical nutrition and dietetics, oversees the division of clinical nutrition and dietetics.
She earned her master's degree from Kathmandu's only Nutrition and Dietetics College, the College of Applied Food and Dairy Technology, and her bachelor's degree in food technology from Tribhuvan University's Lalitpur Valley College. She began her career with ENPHO, a company that aids in the examination of water, and later worked as a dietitian at Sumeru Hospital. She also served as a nutrition lecturer for the Bachelor of Nursing program at B&B College. Additionally, she worked as a dietitian during the 13th South Asian Games.
She has participated in numerous workshops and training sessions, taught nutrition lessons for various school programs, published a journal on the nutritional status of dialysis patients, and obtained a certificate in sports training.
