Dr. Chandan Baranwal is a Consultant in ENT-Head and Neck Surgery at Nepal Mediciti, specializing in advanced surgical care and pediatric ENT. He holds a prestigious Fellowship in ENT-Head and Neck Surgery (FCPS) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, which underlines his strong academic and clinical foundation in the field. Dr. Baranwal is renowned for his expertise in middle ear surgeries, cochlear implants, and the management of allergic ENT disorders.

With extensive experience in pediatric ENT care, Dr. Baranwal previously led the Children’s Hospital for Eye, ENT & Rehabilitation Services, where he played a pivotal role in training Community Ear Health Workers (CEHWs) and Health Assistants in comprehensive ENT diagnosis and treatment. His commitment to capacity building in ear health services has made a lasting impact on community-based care in Nepal.

In recognition of his leadership and excellence in clinical service, Dr. Baranwal was honored with the Staff of the Year Award in 2016, acknowledging his effective department management, the successful organization of ENT surgical camps, and his exceptional interpersonal skills within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Dr. Baranwal is also an active contributor to Ear Care Nepal, a leading non-profit organization focused on improving ear health and preventing hearing loss across Nepal. His surgical career spans several top-tier hospitals throughout the Kathmandu Valley, where he continues to offer expert care in complex ENT conditions.

To further advance his subspecialty expertise, Dr. Baranwal completed an advanced Cochlear Implant Fellowship under the mentorship of Padma Shree Dr. Milind Vasant Kirtane at P.D. Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, India. He also holds a certification in Allergy and Asthma Specialization from Bharatiya Vidyapeeth, Pune, and was a key organizer of Nepal’s first Allergy and Asthma Workshop, a milestone in ENT and respiratory health education.
