Dr. Rima Maharjan Malla is a Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Nepal Mediciti, bringing over a decade of experience in women’s health, reproductive medicine, and gynecologic surgery. She earned her MBBS degree from Chittagong Medical College, Bangladesh, in 2004, and completed her Master’s in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Nepal, in 2011.

With a strong foundation in clinical gynecology and obstetrics, Dr. Rima Maharjan has pursued advanced training in key areas to enhance patient care. She received certifications in Basic Surgical Skills and Comprehensive Cardiac Life Support (CCLS) in 2010. In 2012, she completed a specialized training program in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery in China, equipping her with the expertise to perform laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. Her recent infertility treatment training in Delhi and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) certification in Nepal reflect her growing focus on fertility and assisted reproductive technologies.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Maharjan is a strong advocate for public health and community outreach. Since 2007, she has actively participated in surgical camps for uterovaginal prolapse in collaboration with the Government of Nepal, Rural Health and Development Project, and Women for Women. She has also contributed to cervical cancer screening programs organized by the Himani Trust and the Ministry of Health, and has provided medical services in rural health camps under the Gurkha Welfare Scheme.

Dr. Maharjan is affiliated with prominent professional bodies, including the Nepal Medical Council (NMC), Nepal Medical Association (NMA), and the Nepal Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (NESOG). Her active involvement in medical education, patient advocacy, and clinical excellence has made her a leading name in gynecology and obstetrics in Nepal.
