Dr. Sanjaya Karki is the Consultant and Head of the Department of Emergency & Pre-Hospital Care at Nepal Mediciti Hospital. He earned his MBBS and holds a European double Master’s degree in Health and Welfare, in addition to an MD in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Karki is renowned for his contributions to Emergency Medical Services (EMS), both within Nepal and internationally.
His innovative work in EMS has earned him significant recognition. Notably, he was awarded the David Well Extreme Medicine Award in the UK in 2014 and the EMS 10 Innovations of the Year 2016 Award in the USA. These accolades highlight his impact on the field and his commitment to advancing emergency medical care.
