Dr. Sanjeev Acharya is a highly experienced and respected Senior Consultant in the Department of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation at Nepal Mediciti. With over a decade of clinical and academic experience, Dr. Acharya is recognized for his expertise in diagnosing and managing complex kidney diseases, critical care nephrology, and renal transplantation. He completed his MBBS from Kathmandu Medical College (Kathmandu University) in 2007 and began his medical career at Patan Hospital, where he developed a strong foundation in internal medicine. Driven by a passion for nephrology, he pursued and earned a Master’s Degree in Nephrology from Jiamusi University, China, graduating in 2015.

From 2015 to 2022, Dr. Acharya served as a Consultant Nephrologist at Sumeru Hospital, Lalitpur, where he played a vital role in advancing kidney care services. Simultaneously, he was involved in medical education as a Lecturer in the Department of Internal Medicine at KIST Medical College between 2018 and 2021. Now at Nepal Mediciti, he leads the way in delivering high-quality care to patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease (CKD), glomerulonephritis, end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and those undergoing hemodialysis or kidney transplantation.

Renowned for his diagnostic precision, compassionate patient care, and evidence-based approach, Dr. Acharya also actively contributes to public health through kidney awareness and outreach programs. He has been a key participant in Nepal’s national campaign—“Mirgaula Bachaun Abhiyaan” (Save the Kidneys Campaign)—traveling across the country to promote early detection, kidney health education, and preventive nephrology.
