Sr. Consultant
Dr. Sanjeev Acharya is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Nephrology & Kidney Transplantation at Nepal Mediciti. He earned his MBBS from Kathmandu Medical College (KU) in 2007 and initially practiced at Patan Hospital. Driven by his passion for nephrology, Dr. Acharya completed his Master’s degree in Nephrology from Jiamusi University, China, graduating in 2015.
Following his advanced training, Dr. Acharya served as a Consultant Nephrologist at Sumeru Hospital, Lalitpur from 2015 to 2022, before joining Nepal Mediciti. Alongside his clinical roles, he contributed to medical education as a Lecturer in the Department of Internal Medicine at Kist Medical College (2018–2021).
Dr. Acharya specializes in the management of complex kidney diseases, with expertise in critical care nephrology and kidney transplantation. He is renowned for his diagnostic acumen and comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic renal conditions.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Acharya actively promotes kidney health through community outreach, including kidney screening camps and awareness programs. Notably, he participated in the national “Mirgaula Bachaun Abhiyaan” kidney disease prevention campaign, traveling across Nepal to raise awareness and advocate for early detection and prevention of kidney diseases.
