Dr. Satyadeep Bhattacharya did his MBBS at BPKIHS, Dharan, following which he worked in the Department of Surgery at the National Academy of Medical Sciences, Bir Hospital. He then went to the USA and completed his General Surgery Residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, where he also won Top Gun awards for outstanding performance.  Thereafter, he completed his Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Bhattacharya worked for 5 years as a Colorectal Surgeon at Southern Illinois Healthcare in Illinois, USA, where he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University (SIU) and the Associate Program Director for the SIU General Surgery Residency Program. He moved back to Nepal in 2018 to pursue his dream of establishing advanced Colorectal Surgical care in his home country. He has been providing his services at various reputed hospitals in Nepal since that time. 

Dr. Bhattacharya is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (FASCRS). He has delivered numerous presentations at regional, national and international conferences as well as academic institutions, in the USA as well as in Nepal, and has contributed to peer-reviewed journals.
