Consultant Paediatric Dentist
Dr. Amita Rai is a Consultant Paediatric Dentist at Nepal Mediciti, specializing in Paediatric Dentistry, Preventive Dentistry, dental care for patients with special healthcare needs, and Dental Trauma management. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree earned in 2013 and completed her Master’s in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry in 2018 from the prestigious B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Nepal.
Committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements, Dr. Rai has actively participated in numerous workshops and specialized training programs covering topics such as Digital Dentistry, Lasers in Paediatric Dentistry, and Basic Life Support (BLS). Her continuous professional development ensures she provides cutting-edge, evidence-based care to her young patients.
Dr. Rai is an active member of several prominent professional organizations, including the Nepal Medical Council (NMC), Nepal Dental Association (NDA), Nepalese Association of Paediatric Dentistry (NAPD), International Association for Dental Traumatology (IADT), South Asian Association of Paediatric Dentistry (SAAPD), and Nepal Association of Dental Research (NADR).
In addition to her clinical expertise, she contributes to dental education as an Assistant Professor and serves as a member of the Institutional Review Committee (IRC) at People’s Dental College and Hospital, Kathmandu. Dr. Rai’s dedication to community service is reflected in her active involvement with the BPKIHS Students’ Blood Donation Committee and Physicians for Social Responsibility, Nepal (Students’ Chapter).
