Dr. Anup Ghimire is an experienced Associate Consultant in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Nepal Mediciti. He completed his MBBS from Kathmandu Medical College in 2013 and earned his MD in Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine from B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, in 2017. To further enhance his clinical expertise, Dr. Ghimire obtained a prestigious Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Critical Care from the National University Hospital, Singapore, in 2021. This advanced training equips him with cutting-edge skills to manage critically ill patients requiring specialized cardiothoracic care.

Dr. Ghimire brings extensive experience from his roles as Registrar Anesthesiologist at the National Trauma Centre and Nepal Mediciti Hospital, as well as his clinical fellowship in Singapore. His clinical focus includes comprehensive management of severe conditions such as sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), poly-trauma, neurosurgical, and cardiothoracic cases. He is highly proficient in advanced life-support techniques, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) for both venovenous (VV) and venoarterial (VA) modes, resuscitation protocols like BLS, ACLS, and ECPR, advanced mechanical ventilator management, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and point-of-care ultrasound diagnostics.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Ghimire is actively involved in critical care transthoracic echocardiography, ICU nursing education and training, as well as nutrition and rehabilitation for critically ill patients. His holistic approach to patient care and dedication to advancing critical care medicine make him an invaluable member of the ICU team at Nepal Mediciti Hospital. Dr. Ghimire’s combination of advanced academic qualifications, international fellowship experience, and diverse clinical skills uniquely positions him to deliver exceptional care to patients with complex and life-threatening conditions.
