Dr. Apar Lamichhane is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Nepal Mediciti Hospital, bringing a wealth of expertise to patient care. His academic journey includes a Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch) in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), demonstrating his specialized training in this field. Prior to this, he earned a Master’s in General Surgery from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from BPKIHS, providing a strong foundation for his surgical career.
Dr. Lamichhane's professional experience is both extensive and diverse. In addition to his role at Nepal Mediciti, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at NAMS, actively contributing to both clinical practice and academic training. This dual role underscores his commitment to advancing the field through education and practical application. His dedication to professional growth is further exemplified by his memberships in esteemed organizations such as the Nepal Medical Association, the Association of Plastic Surgeons of Nepal, and the Nepal Burn Foundation.
Dr. Lamichhane's expertise encompasses a wide range of procedures, including aesthetic surgery (facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, liposuction, breast augmentation/reduction, abdominoplasty, and body contouring), reconstructive surgery (post-trauma reconstruction, cancer reconstruction, and complex wound management), burn surgery (acute burn management, burn reconstruction, and contracture release), and hand and microsurgery (treatment of congenital hand anomalies, replantation, nerve repair, and tendon reconstruction).
