Dr. Apurb Sharma is the Head of the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management at Nepal Mediciti, bringing over a decade of experience and leadership in the field of anesthesia and perioperative care. He earned his MD in Anesthesiology from the prestigious BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan, Nepal, laying a strong academic and clinical foundation for his career.

Prior to joining Nepal Mediciti, Dr. Sharma served as the Head of Cardiac Anesthesia at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, Nepal’s leading cardiac care institution. In this role, he played a vital part in advancing protocols for cardiac anesthesia and improving patient safety during complex heart surgeries.

Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Sharma is a prominent figure in academic medicine. He is the Executive Editor of the Journal of Society of Anesthesiologists of Nepal (JSAN) and serves on the editorial board of the Nepalese Heart Journal, contributing to the growth of evidence-based anesthesia practices and research dissemination across South Asia.

Dr. Apurb Sharma’s contributions span both clinical anesthesia and academic research, making him one of Nepal’s most respected figures in the field.
