Dr. Arun Prasad Joshi is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nepal Mediciti, with over twelve years of dedicated experience in women's health. Renowned for his clinical excellence and academic dedication, Dr. Joshi holds an MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Tribhuvan University and completed his MBBS from Kathmandu University, both with outstanding academic performance. He began his medical journey with a Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) from Tribhuvan University, laying a strong foundation for a distinguished career in gynecological care.
Specializing in advanced laparoscopic and gynaecological endoscopic surgery, Dr. Joshi has pursued extensive international training in leading medical centers in Thailand, India, and Spain. His expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques has helped countless women receive effective, less invasive treatment options with faster recovery times. Over the past decade, he has focused on gynaecologic endoscopic surgery, making significant contributions through research and conference presentations. Dr. Joshi is also a published researcher, contributing valuable insights to peer-reviewed journals such as the Nepal Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (NJOG), the Journal of Nepal Health Research Council (JNHRC), and the Journal of Patan Academy of Health Sciences (JPESON). His research includes critical studies on undiagnosed ectopic pregnancies, laparoscopic management of dermoid cysts, and perinatal outcomes following cesarean sections, enriching Nepal’s academic and clinical landscape in women’s healthcare.
In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Joshi has held esteemed academic positions, including Assistant Professor at the National Academy of Medical Sciences and Registrar at Civil Service Hospital. Dr. Joshi is an active member of various national and international medical societies, including the Nepal Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (NESOG) and the International Gynaecologic Cancer Society (IGCS).
