Dr. Babu Ram Pokharel is the Principal Consultant and Head of the Department of Neurology at Nepal Mediciti, bringing over 15 years of specialized experience in neurology and internal medicine. With a distinguished career in neurological care, Dr. Pokharel is recognized for his expertise in diagnosing and treating complex neurological disorders.

Before joining Nepal Mediciti, Dr. Pokharel served as Senior Consultant at the Upendra Devkota Memorial National Institute of Neurological and Allied Sciences and Sumeru Hospital, Lalitpur. He also held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu University, where he contributed significantly to medical education and clinical research.

Dr. Pokharel’s academic and clinical journey includes his role as Senior Consultant in the Department of Medicine at Kathmandu University School of Medicine, Dhulikhel, where he served until 2016. He has an extensive publication record with research featured in reputable national and international medical journals, showcasing his commitment to advancing neurological sciences.

An active member of prestigious organizations such as the Society of Internal Medicine Nepal, American Academy of Neurology, Nepal Stroke Association, and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, Dr. Pokharel remains at the forefront of neurological research and patient care.
