Dr. Babu Ram Pokharel is the Principal Consultant and Head of the Department of Neurology at Nepal Mediciti. With over 15 years of experience in the fields of medicine and neurology, Dr. Pokharel brings a wealth of expertise to his role. Prior to his current position, he held the role of Senior Consultant at the Upendra Devkota Memorial National Institute of Neurological and Allied Sciences and Sumeru Hospital in Lalitpur. Additionally, he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu University.

Dr. Pokharel’s extensive career includes a notable tenure as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Medicine at Kathmandu University School of Medicine, Dhulikhel, where he contributed to the academic and clinical environment until 2016. His extensive work in neurology and medicine is supported by numerous publications in both national and international journals, highlighting his commitment to advancing medical knowledge and practice.

As a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Society of Internal Medicine, Nepal, the American Academy of Neurology, the Nepal Stroke Association, and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, Dr. Pokharel is deeply involved in diagnosing and managing complex cases.
