Dr. Bipin Maharjan is an Associate Consultant in the Department of Urology at Nepal Mediciti. Previously, he was associated with Nepalgunj Medical College, Nepalgunj as a Lecturer in the department of urology for one year.

Dr. Bipin started his medical education at Kathmandu University Medical School (KUMS), Dhulikhel where he finished his MBBS in 2009. He continued his academic pursuits and joined B&B Hospital, Gwarko as a medical officer. He cleared the FCPS part one examination and then got enrolled in the CPSP training program which is one of the most sorts out Postgraduate programs in Pakistan. He completed his general surgery training at B&B Hospital, Gwarko in 2013.

His passion for Urology continued and he joined the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), Pakistan in 2013 for his FCPS Urology residency program. SIUT is 750 bedded Urology and Nephrology hospital with state-of-the-art equipment & infrastructure and is one of the largest kidney transplant centers in the world. He was awarded the Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Urology after the successful completion of his training in 2016.

He has wide exposure to all endoscopic, laparoscopic & open urological techniques. He has acquired training in Reconstructive urology from the prestigious Kulkarni Reconstructive Urology Centre, Pune, India.

Special interest in endo-urology, laparoscopic and reconstructive urology.

Procedures

• Worked extensively with the team of senior urologists at SIUT and performed/assisted in almost all major open, laparoscopic & endoscopic urological surgeries.
• Worked with the latest state-of-the-art equipment in urology including ESWL (Modulith SLK & Dornier lithotripsy), Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery (RIRS), Urodynamics, TRUS guided prostate biopsy, laparoscopy & lasers.
• Worked as an integral part of the well-established renal transplant program at SIUT.
