Lt. Col Dr. Jyoti Rayamajhi (Rtd) is a highly experienced and distinguished surgeon who currently serves as the Head of the Department and Principal Consultant at the Comprehensive Breast Care Center, Nepal Mediciti. With over 20 years of surgical experience in the Nepal Army Medical Corps, Dr. Rayamajhi brings unmatched expertise in general surgery, gastrointestinal (GI) surgery, breast surgery, and plastic and cosmetic surgery.

A graduate of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) with an MS in General Surgery (2009), Dr. Rayamajhi has received advanced training in Surgical Oncology and Breast Surgery from leading institutions in India, the USA, and Singapore. She also completed a prestigious Fellowship in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Cosmetic Surgery at Medanta, India. Her areas of special interest include breast cancer surgery, oncoplastic breast surgery, and reconstructive cosmetic procedures.

At Shree Birendra Army Hospital, Dr. Rayamajhi performed a wide range of advanced surgical procedures, including breast oncoplastic surgeries, plastic and reconstructive surgeries, and laparoscopic gastrointestinal and hepato-biliary surgeries. She is proficient in minimally invasive techniques and tertiary-level surgical interventions, providing holistic and patient-centered care.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Rayamajhi is deeply involved in breast cancer awareness and community outreach programs, aiming to empower women with early detection and prevention strategies. She is also dedicated to medical education, actively teaching interns and resident doctors at NAMS and the Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences (NAIHS).

With a commitment to excellence in breast cancer care, reconstructive surgery, and medical education, Dr. Jyoti Rayamajhi is recognized as one of Nepal’s leading female surgeons, making significant contributions to women’s health and surgical advancement.
