Lt. Col Dr. Jyoti Rayamajhi (Rtd) joined Nepal Mediciti Hospital following a distinguished career with the Nepal Army Medical Corps, bringing with her 20 years of extensive surgical experience. As the Head of the Department and Principal Consultant at the Comprehensive Breast Care Center, she is renowned for her proficiency in general, gastrointestinal (GI), breast, and plastic and cosmetic surgeries. Dr. Rayamajhi’s extensive expertise is complemented by her role in advancing breast and onco-surgery practices.

Dr. Rayamajhi graduated from the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) with an MS degree in 2009. She has furthered her specialization through formal training in Surgical Oncology and Breast Surgery across India, the USA, and Singapore, as well as completing a Fellowship in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Cosmetic Surgery at Medanta, India. Her special interests lie in breast and oncoplastic surgery, and she is deeply involved in outreach work aimed at raising awareness and mobilizing communities regarding breast cancer.

Her previous experience includes performing a wide range of surgeries at Shree Birendra Army Hospital, including plastic, reconstructive, cosmetic, and breast oncoplastic procedures. She is adept at laparoscopic techniques and tertiary-level procedures for breast, reconstructive, gastrointestinal, and hepato-biliary conditions. Additionally, Dr. Rayamajhi is committed to education and training, conducting academic classes for intern and resident doctors, and teaching at the National Academy of Medical Sciences and the Nepalese Army Institute of Medical Science (NAIHS).
