Dr. Kundana Rayamajhi is a Junior Consultant Radiologist at Nepal Mediciti with specialized expertise in women’s imaging, particularly breast imaging. She is dedicated to advancing early detection and accurate diagnosis of breast-related conditions through advanced imaging techniques.
Dr. Rayamajhi earned her MBBS from Tianjin Medical University, China, and gained valuable clinical experience during her two-year tenure at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Bir Hospital, Nepal. She later pursued her MD in Radiology from Universal College of Medical Sciences, Tribhuvan University, further solidifying her foundation in diagnostic radiology.
To enhance her skills in breast health, Dr. Rayamajhi completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Breast Imaging at Max Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi, India. Her training includes expertise in interpreting mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI, along with performing image-guided procedures such as breast biopsy, fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC), wire localization, and clip placement.
Dr. Rayamajhi is a member of the Breast Imaging Society of India (BISI) and the Nepal Radiologists Association (NRA), showcasing her commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to international standards in radiology.
Her previous roles include serving as a Resident Officer at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center, Kathmandu, and completing comprehensive residency training in radiology at UCMS. With her focused expertise in women’s imaging and compassionate approach to patient care, Dr. Rayamajhi is a key contributor to the Radiology Department at Nepal Mediciti Hospital.
