Dr. Kundana Rayamajhi is a junior consultant radiologist at Nepal Mediciti with a specialized focus on women’s imaging. She completed her MBBS at Tianjin Medical University in China and gained significant clinical exposure through a two-year tenure at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Bir Hospital, Nepal. Dr. Rayamajhi further pursued her MD in Radiology from Universal College of Medical Sciences, Tribhuvan University, and then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Breast Imaging at Max Super Speciality Hospital in New Delhi, India.
Her expertise is underscored by her advanced fellowship training in breast imaging, where she developed skills in interpreting mammograms and MRI of the breast, performing breast ultrasounds, and executing various breast imaging procedures such as biopsies, fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC), wire localization, and clip placement. Dr. Rayamajhi is an active member of both the Breast Imaging Society of India (BISI) and the Nepal Radiologist Association (NRA), reflecting her commitment to staying current in her field.
Dr. Rayamajhi’s prior experience includes a role as a Resident Officer at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center in Kathmandu and residential training in radiology at Universal College of Medical Sciences. Her dedication to women’s imaging and her advanced training in breast imaging make her a valuable asset to Nepal Mediciti and a leading figure in the field of radiology.
