Dr. Niki Thakur is a dedicated and highly skilled pathologist with a strong academic and clinical background, based in Nepal. She completed her MBBS degree from Nobel Medical College, affiliated with Kathmandu University (KU), in 2015. Driven by a passion for disease diagnostics and research, Dr. Thakur advanced her expertise by earning a Master of Science (MSc) in Pathology from Universal Medical College, affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU), graduating in 2021.
Following her postgraduate studies, Dr. Thakur served as a consultant pathologist at the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) in Teku, one of Nepal’s leading diagnostic centers. During her tenure, she contributed to high-quality diagnostic services and important public health initiatives, gaining extensive experience in advanced pathology techniques and laboratory management.
Dr. Thakur’s core areas of specialization include molecular cytogenetics, immunofluorescence, and oncopathology. Her expertise in these cutting-edge diagnostic methods reflects her commitment to improving cancer pathology and disease detection, enhancing diagnostic accuracy for better patient outcomes. Her work plays a crucial role in the early diagnosis and management of complex diseases, particularly cancer.
With her solid academic foundation and practical experience, Dr. Niki Thakur continues to make significant contributions to pathology in Nepal. She is dedicated to advancing diagnostic capabilities, supporting patient care, and promoting innovative research in the field of pathology.
