Dr. Niva Chitrakar is an Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at Nepal Mediciti, renowned for his expert care in managing musculoskeletal and trauma-related conditions. He completed his MBBS from Wuhan University, Hubei, China, and earned his MS in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery from Universal College of Medical Sciences (Tribhuvan University) in 2017. Dr. Chitrakar’s solid academic foundation is complemented by comprehensive clinical training, making him proficient in treating a wide range of orthopaedic injuries.

Dr. Chitrakar began his medical career as a Registrar at Blue Cross Hospital in Tripureswor, where he gained valuable hands-on experience in diagnosing and managing diverse orthopaedic cases. This role helped him refine his surgical skills, especially in trauma management and joint care, laying a strong groundwork for his future specialization.

Since joining Nepal Mediciti in April 2018, Dr. Chitrakar has been an integral part of the orthopaedic and trauma surgery team. He is dedicated to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based treatment for bone fractures, joint disorders, soft tissue injuries, and other complex orthopaedic conditions. His approach emphasizes both surgical precision and holistic patient care to ensure optimal recovery and improved quality of life.
