Dr. Prasanna Karki is currently working as Associate Consultant, Neurointerventional Neurosurgeon. Dr. Karki has served many people to benefit of less-invasive treatments with reduced pain and risks. She helps manage and treat Neurovascular diseases like Acute Ischemic Stroke, Cerebral Aneurysm, Carotid stenosis, Arteriovenous Malformations, etc. through interventional Techniques without going through painful treatment. With advanced technologies and years of experience in Neurosurgery such as Brain Trauma, Brain Tumor, Brain aneurysm, Brain AVM, Hydrocephalus, Pediatric brain tumors, etc. Dr. Karki has been helping people recover from serious Neurosurgical conditions which require open Neurosurgery. She has published 27 peer-reviewed articles in national and international journals.
Dr. Prasanna Karki finished her Medical School (MBBS) at Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital in 2009 and completed her MD, Ph.D. in Neurosurgery from Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Kagoshima University Hospital (Kagoshima, Japan) in 2015. She worked as a neurosurgeon at Annapurna Neurological Hospital for 6 months and then worked as Consultant Neurosurgeon/Lecturer at Nepalgunj Medical College and Teaching Hospital for 2 years. After working as a Neurosurgeon at Mediciti Hospital for 4 years, she went on to pursue her one-year Clinical Fellowship in Neurointerventional surgery at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in Thailand.
