Dr. Ram K. Ghimire is the Principal Consultant and Head of the Department of Radiology at Nepal Mediciti. He holds a Diploma in Medical Radio Diagnosis and a Master’s degree in Radio Diagnosis from the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University. Prior to joining Nepal Mediciti, Dr. Ghimire served as Professor and Head of the Department of Radiology and Imaging at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

An active member of multiple prestigious national and international medical societies, Dr. Ghimire is affiliated with the Nepal Medical Association, Nepal Radiologist Association, Breast and Thyroid Society of Nepal, Nepal Thoracic Society, Ultrasound Society of Nepal, and the European Society of Radiology. He currently serves as the President of the Nepalese Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, reflecting his leadership in the field.

Dr. Ghimire has made significant contributions to medical imaging through numerous publications in respected national and international journals. He also plays a vital role on the Institutional Review Board and Academic Council of the Institute of Medicine, advancing medical research and education in Nepal.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Ghimire has pioneered the development of advanced radiological services and helped establish leading imaging centers across Nepal. His specialized expertise includes Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and vascular and interventional radiology.

In recognition of his outstanding service to medicine and public health, Dr. Ghimire has been honored with prestigious awards such as the "Suprabal Janasewa Shree" and "Sukritimaya Rastradeep," one of Nepal’s highest civilian honors awarded by the President of Nepal.
