Sr. Consultant
Dr. Rekha Sthapit has been involved in the health screening program of clients since the time she joined Nepal Mediciti Hospital (April 2022). She has been taking care of the preventive health of clients as the Senior Consultant in the Department of Wellness. She, being a Primary Physician, has been providing her expertise with a holistic approach to client’s issues, and takes this opportunity and platform to advocate their health awareness. At the same time, she has been motivating her clients on regular health screening and has been emphasizing the need for regular follow-up.
She has more than eighteen years of work experience as a clinician, initially having worked as a Primary Physician (Consultant General Practitioner) for seven years, before super specializing as an Emergency Physician.
Teaching experiences:
She is an experienced Senior Consultant, having had several years of experience in various teaching and private hospitals in Nepal.
She provided her expertise at Manmohan Memorial Medical College and Teaching Hospital as an Associate Professor ( in the Department of Emergency), and as a Senior Consultant and Assistant Professor at NAMS, Bir Hospital before joining Nepal Mediciti Hospital. She also provided her service as a Consultant at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in the Department of General Practice and Emergency, after which her yearning for learning led her to do a Super specialization in Emergency Medicine further. She had also worked as a lecturer at People’s Dental College, and as a Consultant at People’s General Hospital, before joining Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
