Dr. Sabina Lamichhane is the Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nepal Mediciti. With over 13 years of clinical experience, Dr. Lamichhane holds experience on both surgical and clinical skills. She is determined and focused on patient centered care thus prioritizing the individual needs, preferences and values of patients. Her evidence based practice to provide care grounded in the latest scientific evidence builds trusting relationship with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Sabina completed her Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from BPKIHS, Dharan in 2012. She is also trained with laparoscopic surgery from Spectrum Clinic, Kolkata India. She has undergone training of comprehensive abortion care (CAC), and other advanced technical skills like high- risk pregnancy management and disaster managements.

Dr. Lamichhane also served as an Assistant professor in Nobel Medical College enhancing her ability to handle and train residents and promote team-based care models. She also advocated and contributed as being a treasurer in organizing an Update in Critical Care conference in eastern part of Nepal. She has an experience being a senior consultant at Life Guard Hospital, Biratnagar with exceptional modern obs/gyne clinical excellence and compassion, advocacy and innovation to navigate today’s complex women health care landscape while centering patient dignity and safety.

Dr. Lamichhane supports for raising awareness about maternal care, women’s health issues in the community and advocating for patient’s rights and access to care. She has the ability for balancing quality care with efficient clinical practice and surgical skills.
