Dr. Sanjeet Krishna Shrestha is the Principal Consultant in the Department of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Nepal Mediciti. He earned his MBBS from Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital under Kathmandu University and completed his MD in Internal Medicine from the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). Since joining Nepal Mediciti in 2017, Dr. Shrestha has played a key role in establishing and advancing the hospital’s Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine department.
Under his expert leadership, the department offers a comprehensive range of advanced pulmonary and sleep care services, including a state-of-the-art lung function laboratory, diagnostic bronchoscopy, and a fully equipped sleep laboratory for polysomnography. These specialized facilities are integrated with critical care units to ensure holistic and patient-centered treatment for complex respiratory and sleep disorders.
Dr. Shrestha’s clinical expertise covers a wide spectrum of respiratory and sleep-related conditions, including critical care medicine, bronchial asthma, pulmonary hypertension, lung cancer, and tuberculosis (both pulmonary and extrapulmonary). He is also highly skilled in managing connective tissue-related lung diseases, sarcoidosis, obstructive sleep apnea, sleep medicine, and non-invasive ventilation therapies.
With a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes, Dr. Shrestha continues to advance the field of pulmonary and sleep medicine in Nepal through his dedicated clinical practice, research, and education.
