Principal Consultant
Dr. Smrity Maskey is a highly accomplished medical professional specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, currently serving as a Principal Consultant at Nepal Mediciti. She earned her MS in Obstetrics & Gynecology from King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Pakistan, and began her medical career at Nepal Medical College. She later contributed to medical education as a Lecturer at KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital, eventually becoming an Associate Professor. Dr. Maskey is also an AMASI-certified laparoscopic surgeon and was honored with the Young Gynecologist Award in 2015 by AOCOG Malaysia.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Maskey plays a vital role in various professional organizations. She currently serves as the Vice President (2023-24) of the Menopause Society of Nepal (MESON) and the Joint General Secretary (2023-24) for the Nepal Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (NESOG). Since 2020, she has also been a Board of Director for Hamro Life Bank. In addition to these leadership roles, she has worked as a consultant for national and international health organizations, including the Ministry of Health and Population, Government of Nepal, USAID, IPAS, SOLID Nepal, Jhpiego, and GIZ. Her involvement in these organizations reflects her dedication to advancing healthcare policies and practices in Nepal.
Dr. Maskey is deeply committed to medical education and training, particularly in areas such as Gender-Based Violence and clinical skill development. She has been actively involved in mentoring and conducting various training programs to enhance medical knowledge and practice. Apart from her clinical and academic contributions, she is passionate about women's health and wellness, holding certifications as a Pre and Post Natal Fitness and Insanity trained Instructor. Through her diverse roles, Dr. Maskey continues to make a significant impact on women’s healthcare, medical education, and policy advocacy in Nepal.
