Col. Dr. Srijan Malla (Retd) is the Principal Consultant in the Department of General Surgery and Digestive Diseases, Unit-2, at Nepal Mediciti, bringing over 23 years of extensive surgical experience with a specialized focus on advanced laparoscopic procedures. He completed his MS degree from the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Bir Hospital in 2006, which laid a strong foundation for his surgical expertise.

Dr. Malla has refined his skills in general surgery and advanced gastrointestinal surgery through training at several prestigious institutions. He holds the esteemed FMAS (Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery) and DMAS (Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery) certifications from the World Laparoscopy Hospital (2011). Additionally, he pursued advanced training in minimal access and robotic surgery at Sir Gangaram Hospital in 2013, further enhancing his proficiency in modern surgical techniques.

His clinical expertise covers a broad spectrum of advanced laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgeries, including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, abdominal and inguinal hernia repairs, appendectomy, and complex colorectal and hepatobiliary surgeries. Dr. Malla’s use of minimally invasive surgery techniques allows for faster patient recovery and reduced postoperative complications.
