Dr. Srijana Podar is a Registrar in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Nepal Mediciti. She completed her MBBS from Weifang Medical University, China, and obtained her FCPS training in Cardiac Surgery from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. She has also obtained fellowship in Congenital Cardiac surgery. 

Dr. Podar has gained extensive clinical experience in general surgery through her training and professional practice at leading cardiac centers, including the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Karachi, Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, and Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital. She has also worked in emergency medicine, neonatal intensive care, anesthesiology, and critical care settings at institutions such as Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, B & B Hospital, and Shankarapur Hospital.

Her professional interests include congenital cardiac surgery and improving surgical care for pediatric and underprivileged patients in developing countries. She has actively participated in international conferences, workshops, and research presentations related to cardiovascular surgery, contributing to the advancement of cardiac care and surgical education.
