Dr. Tanup Prasai is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Nepal Mediciti, with a subspecialty in Hand and Wrist Surgery. With over 10 years of clinical and academic experience, he is also actively engaged in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, contributing to the development of future orthopedic professionals.

Dr. Prasai completed his MBBS from BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, and obtained his Master of Surgery (MS) in Orthopedics from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi—one of the most prestigious medical institutions in South Asia. He further advanced his skills through a one-year Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Dandenong Hospital, affiliated with Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. This highly specialized international training makes him one of the few orthopedic surgeons in Nepal with advanced qualifications specifically in Hand Surgery.

Dr. Prasai is widely recognized for his expertise in diagnosing and treating complex hand and wrist conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, tendon injuries, fractures, arthritis, nerve compressions, and trauma-related cases.
