Prof. Dr. Anuj Poudel is a distinguished pathologist with over 16 years of academic, clinical, and research experience in pathology. He holds an MD in Pathology from Kathmandu University and an MBBS from Odessa State Medical University. His expertise spans diagnostic histopathology, cytopathology, and laboratory medicine, with a strong focus on fine needle aspiration cytology, gastrointestinal pathology, thyroid disorders, and infectious disease pathology.
Dr. Poudel began his career as a Lecturer in Pathology at Nepalgunj Medical College in 2009, later serving at Lumbini Medical College and Universal College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), where he rose to the position of Professor. Over the years, he has been actively involved in medical education, mentoring future healthcare professionals, and leading diagnostic services in tertiary care hospitals.
His scholarly contributions include numerous publications in national and international journals, covering topics such as gastric lesions, cervical cancer screening, appendiceal pathology, salivary gland lesions, and antimicrobial resistance. Dr. Poudel’s work reflects a commitment to improving diagnostic accuracy and advancing evidence-based pathology in Nepal.
