Dr. Merina Shrestha is a highly experienced paediatrician with over 20 years of clinical experience, specializing in developmental and neurological disorders in children. She completed her MBBS from the University of Science and Technology, Chittagong, Bangladesh in 1999, followed by an MD in Paediatrics from Tribhuvan University in 2006. She has further strengthened her expertise through a fellowship in Developmental Psychiatry under the Indo-Canadian Autism Network.

Her areas of clinical expertise include the diagnosis and management of Autism Spectrum Disorder across all age groups; from young children to adolescents and adults, including those with co-occurring conditions. She is also skilled in managing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy, and a wide range of developmental disorders. Additionally, Dr. Shrestha has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating various paediatric epilepsies, including the use and interpretation of EEG.

Since 2007, she has been serving as an advisor and consultant to the Autism Care Nepal Society, a pioneering organization in the field of autism in Nepal. She is also a strong advocate for breastfeeding and has significant expertise in Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) counseling, providing practical tools and guidance to support mothers and families.

Dr. Shrestha is currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. With her strong academic background and extensive clinical experience, she is committed to delivering evidence-based, compassionate care while supporting the overall growth and development of children.
