Prof. Dr. Rabindra L Pradhan is currently the Chief of Spine Services and Head of Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital.  He completed his MBBS in 1991 and his postgraduate studies PhD in 2001, from Akita University, Japan. He has been working from the inception of the Department since 2001 and was instrumental in expanding modern spine surgery at KMCTH after finishing his fellowships in spine surgery at various reputed international institutes. He is one of the very few Spine surgeons in Nepal who is Asia Pacific regional faculty of AOSpine and is currently the country leader of the largest spine group in the world. He has keen interest in expanding spine services all over Nepal and has been the chairman of various seminars and hands –on workshops. He has also conducted two live spine surgery courses in Nepal as the organizing chairman.  He is actively involved in Orthopaedic research and teaching and is faculty for the AO PEER course program in the Asia Pacific region. At present he is working as a Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at Mediciti Hospital.
