Ms. Manisha Maharjan is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Nepal Mediciti, specializing in orthopaedic and sports physiotherapy. She holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) from Manav Rachana International Institute of Research and Studies, India, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Srinivas College of Physiotherapy and Research Centre, India. Her strong academic background is complemented by continuous professional development through workshops and conferences focused on musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
With extensive clinical experience, Ms. Maharjan delivers expert physiotherapy care to patients suffering from a variety of musculoskeletal disorders. She emphasizes evidence-based treatment approaches and patient-centered rehabilitation plans designed to improve function, reduce pain, and enhance recovery. Her expertise also extends to sports physiotherapy, having served as the team physiotherapist for the Nepal Women’s Football Team, where she played a key role in injury prevention and performance optimization.
Before joining Nepal Mediciti, Ms. Maharjan gained valuable experience at leading institutions such as Medanta Ortho and Neuro Care Center and Rachana Ortho-Neuro Rehabilitation Centre. These roles helped her develop advanced skills in managing both orthopaedic injuries and neurological rehabilitation. She also volunteered as a medical service provider during the 1st Khelo India School Games 2018, highlighting her dedication to community health and sports rehabilitation.
Ms. Maharjan is actively involved in physiotherapy research and education. Her postgraduate dissertation focused on the agreement between Normal Scapular Abduction Ratio and Lateral Scapular Slide Test measures for scapular malpositioning among adult females with forward shoulder posture. She has also completed an extensive literature review on breathing exercises and pursued specialized training in areas such as multiligament knee injuries, vestibular rehabilitation, and kinesiotaping.
Her participation in the International Conference on Sports Medicine and Sports Sciences reflects her commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, ensuring that her patients benefit from cutting-edge treatment techniques.
