The center uses the latest treatment modalities in the management of cancers with chemotherapy, targeted therapies, immunotherapy, and hormonal therapy. All cases in need of surgery are diagnosed and investigated by surgical teams which have been streamlined into different organ-specific services viz. Head & Neck, Breast, Gynecology, Gastroenterology, Urology, Thoracic, Bone & Soft tissue service, and Paediatric Onco surgery.
The soul of NMCCC is the Multidisciplinary Tumor Board. In this Tumor Board Clinic, experts from Medical, Surgical, and Radiation Oncology as well as Radiology, Pathology, and all concerned specialties discuss each case and formulate a multimodality treatment plan for the patients. Counseling, dietary and physiotherapy, and rehabilitation services provide an all-around and complete treatment to each and every patient.
An efficient referral system thrives with other Super Speciality branches like Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Gastro surgery, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonology, and Critical Care to provide each patient with the best possible medical care. The NMCCC is supported by the state-of-the-art Radiology, Pathology, and Interventional Radiology Departments.
The OncoSurgery team deals with Breast-conserving surgery with breast oncoplastic procedures undertaken as well. All cases of cancer are managed after discussion in the Tumor Board consisting of Surgeons, Radiologists, Medical Oncologists and Pathologists prior to starting any treatment.
The department is also spearheading its efforts to undertake Hematology services and upgrading its services to Bone Marrow Transplant backed by the robust in-house Lab services, Cell Separator & Blood Bank facility.
