The Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology at Nepal Mediciti is Nepal’s largest hospital-based Category 'A' medical laboratory, staffed by over 50 highly qualified professionals. Our team includes a principal consultant pathologist, microbiologist, biochemist, transfusion medicine expert, along with experienced managers, section in-charges, technologists, and laboratory technicians.

Our vision is to become Nepal’s leading diagnostic laboratory by promoting ongoing research and medical education, thereby minimizing the need to outsource laboratory tests. The department also offers a prestigious postgraduate program in Pathology, accredited by the National Board of Medical Specialties under the Government of Nepal.
We provide a broad spectrum of laboratory services, including Anatomical and Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology (both exfoliative and interventional), Hematopathology, Clinical Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry, Clinical Microbiology & Immunology, Molecular & Genomic Pathology, Transfusion Medicine/Blood Bank services, as well as Drugs of Abuse and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring.
